Purebred Navajo-Churro Ewes For Sale

  • LW099Born 3/11/17
    Twin
Dark, Frosting, Possible Lateral Line, Rusty Midsides

Unknown WDR Ram x WDR Moose - SOLD

Her Mother alternated between singles and twins and the lambs were good growers. Never tried to milk her Mother. Mother was calm and somewhat friendly. LW099 has very nice wool and desirable color patterns.
  • LW244Born 2/13/17
    Single
    Dark, Spotting,
    Rusty Midsides

Unknown WDR Ram x WDR Zoe - SOLD

Mother has always had singles but raises big lambs. I have never tried to milk her Mother. LW244 has lovely wool and clean legs and face. Desireable color pattern. She is a large ewe.

  • LW248Born 2/23/17
    Single
    Dark,
    Rusty Midsides

Unknown WDR Ram x WDR R-Squared - SOLD

Her Mother has had singles each time out of two lambings. Both lambs grew fast. Mother is very wild and I never tried to milk her. LW248 has beautiful wool, a desirable color pattern, clean face and legs, and good size. I believe she is black base but she had mahogany sides as a baby which is not typical for a black. Probably has other color patterns mixed in her genetics.
  • LW256Born 2/06/17
    Twin
    White & Tan

Unknown WDR Ram x WDR Charm - SOLD

Mother mostly had twins that grew well. I never tried milking her Mother. Mother was very tame. Nice white wool on this ewe. Fairly calm personality.
  • LW257Born 2/22/17
    Twin
Black & Tan, Spotted Face, Rusty Midsides

    SOLD

Unknown WDR Ram x WDR Sitka

Mother mostly had twins that were fast growing. I never tried milking the Mother. I am keeping the twin sister to LW257 as a breeding ewe (sister is a solid color and I like solids better). LW257 has very nice wool and desirable color patterns.
  • LW286Born 5/04/17
    Twin
    Black & Tan, Spotting

WDR Sheldon x WDR Munchkin - SOLD

Mother has mostly had twins that grew well. Mother is very friendly but I never tried milking her. Father has six horns, perfect eyes (no faults), and is very friendly and gentle. He knows his name and comes when called. LW286 has very nice wool.
  • LW292Born 4/30/17
    Single
    Black TGH

    WDR Squeeker x WDR R40 - SOLD

Mother is a gorgeous ewe but has only had singles. I have never tried milking her Mother. Father was a very friendly and gentle 4 horn ram with perfect eyes (no faults). I don't particularly care for the wool on LW292 at this time. Her wool could change - I have seen lambs with this type of wool grow up to be very nice but it is a risk. So am not offering a registration guarantee on her. I include her as an option only due to her color genetics. I don't often offer solid black ewes for sale.
  • LW294Born 4/30/17
    Twin
    White & Tan

WDR Squeeker x WDR Marge - SOLD

Mother is a gorgeous ewe who has had an equal number of twins and singles. I have never tried to milk the Mother. Father was a very friendly and gentle 4 horn ram with perfect eyes (no faults). I have retained an older sister of this ewe as a breeding ewe - the older sister grows a lot of very nice wool. LW294 has nice wool.
  • LW304Born 5/05/17
    Single
    Black Badger

WDR Sheldon x Lester Lady - SOLD

Mother, Lady, is half Navajo-Churro, half Blue-Faced Leichester. Lady had twins her whole life until this year. L304 was born as a single when Lady was 11 years old so I will give her a pass for having a single this time. Lady is by far my best milker and a sweet ewe. Father has six horns, perfect eyes (no faults), and is very friendly and gentle. He knows his name and comes when called. LW304 is 3/4 Navajo-Churro. She has nice wool and very clean legs and face. She may qualify for registration but because she is only 3/4 NC I am not offering a registration guarantee on her.
  • W14 - WDR CelenaBorn 3/06/12
    Twin
    Black Badger
    Polled
    Reg: D9907-14

PDF Beau x baw Ooljee (Moon) - SOLD

Her Mother was one of my best milkers and consistently raised twins. Celena had a single ram lamb Feb 2017, twins Dec 2015, twins Feb 2015, and a single Jan 2014. She is registered. Like many of my ewes her wool is matted right now due to missed shearing this Spring.
  • LW044Born 4/11/15
    Single
    White & Tan

Unknown WDR Ram x WDR Ember- SOLD

Lovely upright ewe with clean face and legs. Nice wool when not matted as shown in picture. She is from Hesta's line of good milkers - but she is Puzzle's Aunt. Not very tame right now but is curious and looks at you when you are trying to catch her (as opposed to hiding under other sheep and totally avoiding you). No offspring history recorded although she could have had lambs last year that did not get credited to her.
  • LW231Born late 2016 or early 2017
    Polled
    Black and Tan
Very small nick in eyelid on one eye

Unknown WDR Ram x Unknown WDR Ewe - $250

Age estimated by her ear tag number. She is one of many lambs who never got properly associated with her Mom. Our flock had gotten so large and was not manageable by one person (me!). This ewe is large and lovely with very nice wool. She is not tame but is also not crazy wild. Should tame down with calm handling.
  • BrY64Born April 2016
    Single
Black and Tan with Spackled face and sides

Unknown WDR Ram x Unknown WDR Ewe - SOLD

Another 2016 ewe that was not properly recorded with her Mom. Nice sized ewe, very clean face and legs. Interesting color pattern - there seem to be several patterns occuring on this ewe. Not particularly tame but not crazy afraid of people either.
  • LW16Born 2/07/15
    Twin
    White & Tan
    2 Horns

WDR Moishe x WDR Celena - SOLD

Her Mother Celena is for sale above - see notes there for the maternal milking line. LW16 has thick wool but still will meet standard. She could use more guard hair. Very clean face and legs. She is a large ewe and solidly built. Her sire Moishe was huge and that is reflected in his daughters. I don't know if she had a lamb last year. She is not tame but is also not skittish around people.

  • LW132Born 4/02/16
    Twin
    White

    WDR Hermes x WDR W27- $250

Her Mother, W27 is a 3/4 Navajo-Churro. Her grand-dam is Melia who was 1/2 Navajo-Churro and one of my best producers. Always had twins or triplets and could always feed all her triplets on her own. I never had to bottle feed a triplet from her! LW132 has outstanding wool - you might not be able to tell from the picture here where she is matted. But she has grown some lovely long shiney locks! She also has clean face and legs. My one concern about her passing registration is her ears! She has huge ears! They are a fault but I don't know if they will prevent registration. She may qualify for registration but because she is only 7/8 NC (and her EARS!) I am not offering a registration guarantee on her. Also note she is half sister to Puzzle.
  • LW230Born late 2016 or early 2017
    Black and Tan, Rusty Midsides?
    Scurs

Unknown WDR Ram x Unknown WDR Ewe - SOLD

Nice sized ewe with lovely wool, clean legs and clean face. She is not tame but she looks at you and does not try to hide under other sheep. One of the nicer black and tan options in her age group.
  • LY04Born 2/06/15

    Black Badger
    4 Horns
    Good eyes

Unknown WDR Ram x WDR Sitka - $250

Nice sized, clean face and legs, nice wool when it is not matted. Mother had a mix of twins and singles during her production yeras. I don't have any record of LY04 having a 2016 lamb (although it could have happened) and she did not have a lamb in 2017. She is wild and not very fond of people right now. She is also smart.
  • LW47Born 2/08/15
    Twin
    Black Badger, Light Face
    Polled

WDR Moishe x WDR Calico - No Longer Available

Sire was a very large ram and produced larger lambs. Mother was very tame and sweet. Mother always had twins but later in life struggled to support them - I had to supplement her last two lamb crops. This could have just been age but is important to note because I don't think she was the most generous of milk producers. LW47 is medium sized, clean face and legs, nice wool and has a calm personality. Not tame but not much phases her.
  • R16Born 3/02/14
    Black Badger
    Probably some tan factor
    Scurs

Unknown WDR Ram x Unknown WDR Ewe - SOLD

Big ewe with clean face and legs and lovely wool. May have English Blue gene. Not very tame. She would prefer being away from people. I don't have any lamb production history from her but that is probably because she would not let me near her lambs (repeat of the issue I had handling such a large flock by myself).
  • LW176Born January 2016
    Black and Tan
    Polled

Unknown WDR Ram x Unknown WDR Ewe - SOLD

This ewe is somewhat of a recluse. Good size and nice clean legs and face. Hard to tell what is happening with her wool - it is rather thick right now. This ewe does not want to have much to do with people right now so taming would be a bit more of a challenge.
  • LY06Born 1/21/15
    Black Badger
    2 Horn

Unknown WDR Ram x Unknown WDR Ewe - $250

Solidly built ewe with nice horns, clean face and legs, and nice wool. May have English Blue gene (note teardrops). Smart. Not particularly tame but is not paniced by humans. I have no history of her having lambs but that could be the fault of recording as explained earlier on this page.
  • BrY55Born 2016
    Black Pinto
    Scurs

WDR Hermes x Unknown WDR Ewe - SOLD

Nice size, lovely wool, clean legs and face. WDR Hermes daughter (determined by her age). Not tame but not too afraid of people either. Half sister to Puzzle.
  • W02 - WDR MesaBorn 1/10/11
    Single
    Brown Tan Factor
    Polled

Unknown WDR Ram x Unknown WDR Ewe - SOLD

Very large sized ewe with clean face and legs. Good to fair wool - should pass. Interesting color with the brown gene and the tan factor. The times I have been able to record her lambs properly she has had twins. She is not tame and would prefer not to be handled. But she is not in panic when she is handled.
  • BrY63 - PatchesBorn 4/18/12
    Single
    Black Badger
    4 Horn

WDR Chip x WDR Calico - SOLD

Nice sized ewe with narrow body (some feel that is more to NC type). Clean face and legs. Good wool. Mother always had twins but later in life struggled to support them - I had to supplement her last two lamb crops. This could have just been age but is important to note because I don't think she was the most generous of milk producers. Patches had a single in 2014 and twins in 2015. I did not record a 2016 lamb for her and she did not have lambs in 2017.
  • R05 - EveBorn 1/07/13
    Single
    Black TGH

Unknown WDR Ram x Unknown WDR Ewe - $250

Eve had a single lamb in 2015 and a single in 2016. She is a good Mother but not a high milk producer. She does have lovely wool and a clean face and legs. She is also fairly tame and calm - a good influence on the wilder sheep in a flock.
  • R29 - DarlaBorn 3/20/12
    Twin
    Black
    Polled

PDF Gambler x WDR Prism - SOLD

Darla is very tame and wants attention. She is a smaller ewe with sufficient wool that should pass registration but is not the best of the bunch. Darla had twins in 2014 then another single later in 2014. She also had a single in 2015 and twins in 2016. She is a good Mother. Her tameness provides a good influence on the wilder sheep in the flock.

Purebred Navajo-Churro Rams For Sale

  • WDR Dracarys Born 5/21/2014
    Two horns
    Brown
    Registration being submitted

    WDR Chip x WDR Snickers - $350

Dracarys is a lovely brown ram with beautiful wool, wide horns, perfect eyes and a calm temperament. He sired most of our 2015 and 2016 lambs and I have retained 20 of his daughters.
  • WDR PuzzleBorn 1/01/2016
    Pinto, Black Base
    Two Horns
    Registration is being submitted

WDR Hermes x WDR Athena - SOLD

  • Double lines to one of my best milk ewes (and favorite ewe) Hesta. Hesta is a sweet and very prolific ewe. Puzzle is the result of an accidental mating of brother and sister offspring of Hesta. He has very nice wool (as do all of Hesta progeny) even though it is matted in this picture but that is due to missing two shearings. Nice wid horn set. Puzzle is very tame and well behaved. He is a nice, calm ram.
  • Polled Black Ram Lamb Born 2017
    Polled
    Black

    Will Post Parentage - SOLD

I did not have my glasses to read his tag when I took this picture today. Will get more info on his background later. He has gorgeous wool, clean face and legs. Polled rams are nice if you want to use electric netting.
  • Two Horn Black RamBorn 2017
    Two Horns
    Black

    Will Post Parentage - SOLD

  • I did not have my glasses on to read his tag. Will get more background later. Nice wool, clean face and legs, nice widd horn set.
